The T20 World Cup

The T20 World Cup was played for the first time in 2007.

It is generally held once every two years.

The journey of the T20 World Cup began in 2007 with a tournament of 12 teams, and from the 2014 edition, it was expanded to 16 teams.

In the 2024 edition, 20 teams competed across four groups.

Teams that have won the T20 World Cup twice:

• India (2007 and 2024)
• West Indies (2012 and 2016)
• England (2010 and 2022)

With England's victory in 2022, it became the first team to simultaneously hold both Men's ODI and T20 World Cup titles (2019 ODI World Cup and 2022 T20 World Cup).

Individual Records:

Virat Kohli of India is the highest run-scorer in T20 World Cup history, having scored 1,292 runs in 35 matches since his debut in 2012.

Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh is the highest wicket-taker in T20 World Cup history, taking 50 wickets in 43 matches from 2007 to 2024.

टी20 विश्वकप पहिलो पटक २००७ मा खेलिएको थियो। 

यो  साधारणतया प्रत्येक दुई वर्षमा एक पटक आयोजना हुन्छ। 

टी20 विश्वकपको यात्रा २००७ मा 12 टोलीहरूको प्रतियोगिताको रूपमा सुरु भएको थियो, र 2014 को संस्करणदेखि यसलाई 16 टोलीहरूसम्म विस्तार गरियो। 

2024 को संस्करणमा चार समूहमा 20 टोलीहरू प्रतिस्पर्धा गरे ।

२०२२ मा इङ्ग्ल्याण्डको विजय संगै, इङ्ग्ल्याण्ड एकै समयमा पुरुषहरूको दुवै विश्वकप राख्ने पहिलो टोली बन्यो। (२०१९ ODI विश्वकप र २०२२ टी20 विश्वकप) 

भारतका विराट कोहली टी20 विश्वकपको इतिहासमा सबैभन्दा धेरै रन बनाउने खेलाडी हुन्, जसले 2012 मा डेब्यू गरेदेखि 35 खेलहरूमा १२९२ रन बनाएका छन्। 

बंगलादेशका अलराउन्डर शाकिब अल हसन टी20 विश्वकपमा सबैभन्दा धेरै विकेट लिने खेलाडी हुन्, जसले २००७ देखि २०२४ सम्म ४३ खेलहरूमा ५० विकेट लिएका छन्।
