Sri Lanka Wins the 2024 ACC Women's Asia Cup T20 Title
Sri Lanka won the title of the 2024 ACC Women's Asia Cup T20 Cricket Tournament. In the tournament held in July 2024, Sri Lanka defeated India to claim the championship.
Sri Lanka beat India by eight wickets. Batting first, India posted a strong total of 165 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Sri Lanka chased the target by scoring 167 runs for 2 wickets in 18.4 overs.
Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu was named the Player of the Tournament. She scored the most runs in the tournament – 304 runs. On the bowling side, Deepti Sharma from India took the most wickets, claiming 10 wickets in 5 matches.

एसिसी महिला एसिया कप टी–२० क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता २०२४ को उपाधि श्रीलङ्काले जित्यो। जुलाई २०२४ मा सम्पन्न प्रतियोगितामा श्रीलङ्काले भारतलाई पराजित गर्दै उपाधि हात पार्यो।
श्रीलङ्काले आठ विकेटले भारतलाई पराजित गरेको थियो। पहिले ब्याटिङ गरेको भारतले २० ओभरमा ६ विकेट गुमाउँदै १६५ रनको बलियो योगफल खडा गर्यो। प्रत्युत्तरमा श्रीलङ्काले १८.४ ओभरमा दुई विकेट गुमाएर १६७ रन बनायो।
प्रतियोगितामा श्रीलङ्काकी चमारी अटापटु उत्कृष्ट खेलाडीको रूपमा चयन भइन्। उनले प्रतियोगितामा सर्वाधिक ३०४ रन जोडिन्। बलिङतर्फ, भारतकी दीप्ति शर्माले सर्वाधिक विकेट लिँदै पाँच खेलमा १० विकेट हात पारिन्।
